I have a 7010 PD and I don't have any leaks either.  I just thought the prior owners took good care of it.  It had an engine rebuild about 800 hours ago so that might have helped too.  No hydraulic leaks anywhere yet.  I do use my 7010 to cut hay and round bale.

Maybe the small farm means light work and little wear.  It doesn't look like it has a bunch of hours.  Does your A/C work?   I took my stadium lights off and replaced with LEDs.  I have John Deere cab steps which has a nice handle but they aren't original.  I will be doing my cab kit this winter.   Got any pictures of your new cab kit installed?

That is a nice job on buffing out that paint too.  Looks really good.  Are you going to use it or make into a show tractor?

Yes, remove the top and the radio and everything is quite accessible.  However, I had a really hard time finding matching speakers and radio.  The new speakers of this size actually have protrusions that disallow a flush fit like the old ones.  I ended up making a spacer bracket to push the speaker away from the grill.  You will also have a hard time finding a radio to fit the slot.  They make old retrofit radios for old cars but they are quite pricey at over $200.00 and still not sure they will fit the slot. 

I ended up getting a marine amp that had bluetooth connection and just connected the phone to the bluetooth for music or radio.  The speakers connect to the amp.  I made a plastic plate for the on/off switch for the amp that covered the radio slot.  Otherwise, you will have to cut a slot in the metal cage to fit a modern radio.  A modern radio also requires a lot of space on the back and I think it would rub up against the metal top.  There is a cheap radio circuit board on amazon that I may try.  You have to wire and solder it up yourself but it will fit with a blanking plate.  The antenna will be the next problem to solve, if I go this route.

One of the problems when fixing the radio from the cab top is that you can't be on top and in the cab at the same time.  So find a helper that can be on top or in the cab otherwise you will have to clamp stuff from behind.

It is a great round baling tractor with my JD 467.  I also use it on my disc mower and works great.  It is a bit big and uses a lot of fuel for raking.  I have an older JD 214T small square baler and it is almost too big for that little baler.  Making hay isn't that hard on it, so with a little wash down, it can attend a parade or two.

A couple of other things.  I saw recently in a catalog where someone is selling replacement flasher yellow lights in LED that match that size we have.  Mine are very faded and dull.  So, I hope to replace those.

I kept my stadium lights in case I wanted to revert back but one set was not standard anyway.  AC7060IL has a good idea on those to keep original and get better brightness.

My mirrors work, but they are cracked.  Honestly, I still need to get some wider mirrors.  I can't see much around equipment with the stock mirrors as they are just too narrow.

Not sure my radio was original but it was actually not a stereo.  It was a mono FM radio.  That's why I moved on.  My radio worked but with new speakers sounded like crap.  My speakers were shot and probably original.  After my changes, stereo sounded great in the AcoustaCab. :-)  Even if it is a wire, you may want to do something else.

Also, it is quite easy to "pinch" various wires when reinstalling the cab roof, so make sure you tuck them in or protect them before reinstalling the roof.  You may also find some wires that need splicing or are rubbed raw to bare wire.  I did.

To exSW's point, yes, let's see that new cab kit job when you can get pics.

 Thanks for the hint on the canvas white. I have never seen that color yet, maybe new? Yes the Rustoleum antique white is cream looking to me. But I never have been much on correct colors!

That sure is a great looking 7010 Allis that allispicker has here. If mine, I would take the time to clean and paint the wheels too. Yes a lot of work, but it would look really good!
