Hello,

I will be going to an Allis Chalmers 2800 MK1 engine that's quite a few miles away. I may have to pull the injection pump (staynadyne). What should I do/expect to get in to?

Thanks

Bring engine crankshaft timing mark to align, pull side plate off pump verify if timing mark in window, if not try another round of crankshaft. Still not in window, pull V/C verify number one on TDC valves closed and align timing mark pull pump. Even if flex coupling shears the timing marks should come up.

By Shaft design only installs close to time, with marks aligned already halfway there.

If trouble shooting no run, pull the check ball fitting top of pump and see if loaded with crap.
