Does anyone have a picture of how the throttle linkage is connected? I got the tractor without the carburetor installed and the linkage from the governor does not seem to fit on the carb.

my WD link is straight. Think Chris's shaft to gov is twisted.

Steve, Mine was straight too, but this is the amount it needed to be shortened to have the governor to carb distance correct, as mentioned in several posts on here. I guess I would call this a part of the linkage tuning for the entire system. Some folks and I believe the books talk about bending the governor arm. I choose to bend the rod, just seemed easier to adjust that way. I have done this to all three of my WD series tractors. What I cant figure out is why they ar all too long from the factory? Maybe Dr. Allis can explain this? Regards, Chris

Mine is also straight. The linkage connected to the governor looks like it will connect to the carb but, it appears that the governor will pull the throttle the wrong direction.

I have attached a picture of mine. Does anyone have a picture of how the linkages are connected. The one going to the governor and the choke?

Assuming you have the correct carb. The rod from the gov should enter the pivot on the back side of the carb. Some times its easier if you have a tractor close by that you can look at. Thats why I have 3 or 4 of these WD series tractors around to view! Lots of things can happen when tractors are taken apart. Regards, Chris
