Well, I have noticed what is probably another conundrum. I ordered a 3 point hitch conversion for my D14 the other day. I haven't received it yet. But have noticed a big problem. My drawbar support widens out and isn't straight down. I've looked around on here and found that some changes were made after ser#19000. Mine is 197??. I'm pretty sure this 3 point conversion won't work with my drawbar support. Am I right? And are the straight ones available anywhere? I found one, but was out of stock and way overpriced. Any help on this? Thanks.

Your tractor prolly has a support bracket offa D-15, in place of the D-14 proper bracket.  There are still some, laying around.  Check with Sandy Lake, a site sponsor...Wink

Thanks Dave. Others on this forum have said the wide support came on D14's after 19000 ser#. I'm the 4th owner of this tractor. Talked with the 2nd owner about this and he said that support was always on it. Doesn't really matter. I just need to know if this conversion will work with this support. It's the conversion that OK tractors sells. Thanks again.

I understand there are 2 types, regular and heavy duty, parts book shows them and I have both lying on the shelf here in Ontario. I've never used drawbars in 20 years, since I made my 'carryall'.
It's too bad shipping is $$$ and a PITB, sigh.

Jay

My 59 D14 (#19299) also has the wide hanger.  I think DJs or Steiners carries new narrow ones.  IF not, someone here might have a good used one.

Early 59 was the changeover year Allen.  My 59 has all the updates you mentioned that my 58 doesn't have.

I recently bought a black bar, D14. I haven't seen any others in my area so, could someone post a picture of the late draw bar mount so, I'll know what I have.

Someone cobble together a 3 point on mine and I'd like to get back to original.
