Got the opportunity to pickup a one family owned 1954 WD45 Diesel that is in really nice shape mechanically. Was purchased with a pin hitch vs snap coupler. It starts and run well. The tires not so good as they are dry rotted. It will be a fun project to get her cleaned up in the new year.

Is the paint original? Either way, it's a good looking tractor!

Nice score! Aside from tires it looks like it just needs a good bath and driving.

Dandy tractor. If that is original paint you have one in a million. Whether it is or not it is a great find.

I think 55 was the first year for the diesel. Either way, that is a great looking example. There is one sitting in a barn down the road from me, but the owner won't sell. Hopefully some day...

I think that the Snap-Coupler came out with the WD-45. We had a '53 WD we got from the deader after he had used it for a demonstrator. He had put the Snap-Coupler on it. I thought that the Snap-Coupler was standard on the 45's. Or was it an option.

The tractor was repainted in 2006 by the grandson when his father gave it to him after his grandfather passed away who originally purchased the tractor. The serial number is 210214D making it an early model.

I like the 6 cylinder WDs. That thing looks more like a hot rod than a tractor.

Nice tractor! Had those tires on one of our’s back in the seventies. Wish they could still be had.

I have to agree with Dusty. If I recall correctly all WD-45s had Snap Coupler. However, this is one OUTSTANDING WD-45 Diesel. You have acquired an excellent unit. Good Luck!

What impressed me was the lack of oil leaking anywhere and no dents in the grill or cracks. Nice tractor. Leon
