What would cause the PTO to run all the time on a series II or III? I can tell the rubber dampner is shot. Would it be warped plates or rubber dampner debris in clutch assembly? Any help appreciated. Thanks Tracy Martin

They do that.  The PTO clutch runs in oils and the oil gets whirling around inside the clutch housing and causes the driven disk to rotate.  They generally won't do that if there is a implement hooked up to the PTO.  I believe that Series III had a PTO brake to stop the rotation when the PTO was disengaged.

Tracy, on one of mine the PTO "lever"  stop is gone, so the lever don't stay all the way in the "brake "position. Actually, just made one and put on it.
