As mentioned earlier, we took the following tractors to our local tractor show. It was a great day with a lot of ACs - we dominated all other colours. Here are the results of the dyno testing for our tractors ...1958 D14 got 34 hp.
 1959 D14 that we saved and just rebuilt got 35 hp. ALSO get second place for best original!
 1985 6080 shocked us and everyone else there when it hit 100 hp!! Lots of Deere guys were doubting if the little 4 cylinder would even hit 85. Even the parade announcer (a former JD dealer) had to admit that it did "exceptionally well" on the dyno!

That's the way you do it. You have to let those Deere fans know who's boss. Those are three fine machines. I wish it was more like that around here. You would be suprised at the number of people who have never heard of some of the great tractor companies like Allis-Chalmers, Oliver, and Minneapolis Moline. It's so bad that when I wear my orange Allis shirt people give me weird looks and accuse me of being a Tennessee fan even though I wear Kentucky stuff every day I dont wear something Allis related. ------------- 1937 WC, 1950 CA, 1959 D14, 1967 190XT, 2006 Ram 3500 |

The 6000 series are little powerhouses. I'd like to put my 6060 on the dyno sometime.
