| The ones with the ears are easier to change. The round ones we use on equipment that were not going to change the stop. |

| I've seen the aluminum ones like pictured above, and also some cast iron ones with a wire spring. I've always feared that the cast iron ones may be too hard and actually scratch the rod over time. |
