I am looking for a least 300 cube Motor For a WD. I am not to worried if it needs work, or if it just a project that has been started that needs to be finished.

Cubic Dollars will buy whatever cubic inch motor you want. Just pay you money and get what you want made.
------------- If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere. Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

What's so magic about 300 cubes? Why stop at barely over half-way? The stock WD motor was capable of enormous torque, the WD45 topped it...
Drop in a 455 Buick, or a 500 Caddillac... straight out of the junkyard, the former was breaking 500 ft-lbs all they way up into the upper 3k rpm range. The Caddy was right there with it to the mid-high 2k range. With a Turbo 400, connect it straight to the rear axle, and you'll have 2.48:1 reduction + torque converter stall multiplication factor of approximately 2:1, you'll have around 500*2.41*2=1928 foot-lbs available at the pinion gear...
If you want even more reduction, sneak a divorced transfer case or auxiliary 4-speed behind it. Eventually, you'll find the limits of the final drives, but using ordinary stuff, it'll be cheap and easy.
------------- Ten Amendments, Ten Commandments, and one Golden Rule solve most every problem. Citrus hand-cleaner with Pumice does the rest.

Yea My guess would be that Doug would like to whoop some of those red machines! I know the feeling!:) Good luck Doug. I think I would just start with good used parts and have a shop build it from new for you. Probably wont cost any more and you will get what want and know what you have!

I know of two popper pullers, its crazy, they use recast heads, recast blocks, and billet cranks. Cant believe the money they spend, over 1000 cubes with two cylinders!!!!!

If there is a plastic trophy to win, someone will spend more money than anyone else, to bring it home! Strange!:) Regards, Chris
