Playing around with this D15 I have been tasked to fix up, the belt pulley is stuck solid.  Can't get it to turn either way and the engagement lever coming out of the top of the torque tube will not move either.

Never come across this before.  Anyone know where to start getting things to move?

Did you try taking it out to see if it turns, and if the lever moves?  That would help isolate it down a little.

I would start by removing it from the tractor. If the pulley won't turn in the housing, it will have to be disassembled and new bearings put in. Looks like you take the nut and gear off the inside end of the shaft, and press it out. You may have to remove the pulley itself to get at the outer bearing for removal.

I agree with the other posters.  pull her out and you will at least know which end the problem is on.  However that engagement lever being stuck kinda puzzles me.

I assume this D 15 is running?

Once the pulley is out of the way, and all the oil drains out, Wink  you might be able to see the problem with the shift lever being locked up.

Yes, the tractor does run and sounds good.  Needs some more TLC as expected.  Haven't tried to engage the belt pulley as the linkage does not move.  I disconnected the rod that goes through the dash, nothing after that moves - linkage going into the torque tube and the pulley itself.  Just want to get an idea of what the problem could be.  Guess I'll have to tear into it over the winter when I have it in the shop.

Capscrews securing pulley to flange contacting housing, should be a lock washer on the 1 inch capscrew
