Hey all,

Today my tractor died on me mid flight as I tried to increase throttle. I thought it may be a fuel delivery issue but I found that the throttle lever felt a little funny. I followed the linkage and found this with the governor. Does this piece just rest into the governor housing? Or is there something internally going on? Thanks

Supposed to be a press fit.  I took a big pair of Channel Lock pliers and squeezed it good.  That knurled it enough that driving it in, it hasn't fallen out in a while.

Thanks Aaron, I did just that and it seemed to seat well without budging. I imagine that'll work. Now to get er started again...

Is the small line going into the rod an oiler for the gears in the governor?

Thanks,
Matt

After getting the governor back together and resetting the throttle linkage, the tractor actually runs much better than it did before. I am
Now able to get more RPM due to the positioning. Thanks for the help guys

That oil line helps lube the governor.

The oil from that line dribbled oil on the gears and gets splashed around from the gears meshing as it falls down on its way into the pan.
