I need to verify but I think I put Dextron II transmission fluid in mine. Any Simplicity dealer should have a filter. Carquest also carries the filter.

We have the filters in stock, but if you have a Napa store near by, walk in and ask the counterman for a Napa Gold 1068. You'll have to remove the fender to install it, but its a large filter and it just fits between the fender!   Oh, and BTW, Rob is right Dexron II

I used Fram PH16 filter.  Didn't have to remove the fender.  Also, I think I used Dextron III, but would have to go look at the container to verify.  Dave

I have the WIX51307 installed. Should be same as Napa 1307.  It appears to be not as long as the 1068. Also, with 51307, the end is more rounded, maybe allows for more wiggle room. Anyway, it fit with fender in place and as installed I measure .52" clearance.
My machine is actually a 620. I do not see an opportunity to have the fenders set further inboard (thereby reducing clearance).
If there is an issue with using a 51307 vs 1068, would appreciate a heads up.
