the rollers use a gear lube oil which is added using a tube incerted into rollers and allowed to fill cavity until oil flows back out around the tube . I have heard of people using a 000 grease also and adding it by same method .

Anything is better than nothing. I have a Cat with "sealed for life" rollers, notice a little oil leak and before I knew it,it was junk. So the next one that leaked, I filled right away with a 00 grease it has gone 100's of hours. I have been told the Cat sealed rollers are filled with 30 wt,real thin anyway.

I assume your HD6 still has what they called 1000 hour roller rather than sealed for life. In the day the right grease was rather thin about the same as is called "corn head grease" today.
