Who grows them?
I started late in PA. After memorial day. Garden got washed out. Put 1 atlantic giant in my yard and its doing great. Dont think ill get a 300lb this year. Only been growing big pumpkins last few years. Learning curve for sure. Spent 20min tonight covering plant cause of storms and nothing happened

I rent half the wife's garden out to a guy who grows them. Best was about 1300#, 3-4 years ago. there's a LOT of info about doing it. GOOD money in selling seeds if prize winner too !!
When kin is in the 'growing' stage, it'll need 50 gallons of water a DAY.
Look and remove all 'sucker' kins ( they hide so look REAL good !)
Put kin on ply on skid when small, makes easier to move later...
regular watering is essential, though Mother Nature's helped this year.
get rid of terciary(sp) vines( aka suckers )
Google 'how to grow giant pumpkins)..
If you get a 2200# kin you'll get SERIOUS coins !
When transporting ,foam and strap it down..snug. Guy with a 1st in show didn't, drove over 2 RR tracks, split the kin, turned around...lost $1000 for NOT strappin it...
