1951 Ford F1 very solid truck. Comes with a Flathead V8 truck motor with 10373 actual miles. The motor seat and a bunch of extra parts came from a fire truck which spent its entire life indoors. The bed for the truck is on another frame which comes with the deal.
This project would take lots of time work and $ to complete.
Always wanted a 51 or 52. I’d want it somewhat original leaning toward a 50’s hot rod. Can’t decide weather to pull the plug or not.?

I had a 49 F1 that I was in love with. Traded it in on 2 kids. I'm in love with the kids too but the truck was a lot less headache 😄. I guess it's fair though. My dad traded a 55 Nomad on me and my brother. Boy did he get the end of the stick

Tyler, Dad traded his '52 Harley in on an engagement ring in 1956.  He says the jury is still out......He says that when Mom is not in earshot.

I traded my Harley on new appliances for the new house in 2008.  I'd rather have the Harley most days, but it is hard to keep the milk cold in a Harley.Cry

I had a very nice 52. I pulled the front clip to get a little work done to the fenders. That was the only rust on that truck. It had the original floor mat still intact. I moved and left it on some property my mom owned with a couple of my old dirt track cars. I called my brother and told him I was coming after that truck. He said he had hauled it and my race cars to the crusher. One of those race cars had a 351 Cleavland with some expensive heads a high dollar intake and a very expensive Holley Dominator race carb. Fuel cell, blow proof bellhousing and lots of parts. I was sick about that truck. Been looking ever since. That was 1987.
My brother doesn’t like old stuff.

Now how did she say YES?  There are different ways a female can say yes, and some of them mean NO, or, "you'll pay me back at later date"!  I think there's a book on deciphering these differences.  Maybe Google it?

I can help. If she says no it means no. If she says ehhhh it means no but you should have known that before you asked and you're getting a chance to prove you're not an idiot. If she says yes it means she wants something too. If she says ok with an annoying look, half open mouth, and a head bob, that means sleep with one eye open. I understand this was a common occurrence around the Bobbett household if you get my drift.

Remember every thing has 3 prices. The price you paid, the price you told her you paid, and the price you pay when she finds out what you really paid.

Now that is some good advice.
I have a good feeling about her saying ok. She just mentioned that our house comes first. We are getting close. On the nights she works I might sneak out and mess with the ole truck if I get it. We have company coming this weekend so no chance to make this happen this coming weekend.
If it’s meant to be it will work out.

Dad still talks about how much grain he would carry on his dad's F-3 between family farms in the 50's, 2-3x more than it was rated for and said nothing would kill that old F-3.

What color was that truck? There used to be a man here that had one just like it. It was Green. I tried and tried to buy it. I’m also looking at a 52 3/4 ton v8 4 speed with no bed. The cab is very solid on it. It’s a long drive away. I really like that truck in the pic.
