I have a Simplicity 9518 we bought new, sometime around 1982, and minus ~10 years, it has been my primary lawn mowing tractor. Its been a great tractor. However, I now have an issue, as the gearshift linkage seemed out of alignment.

I've removed the topcover of the shifter tower, and found that the two shift forks that put it into and take it out of gear are worn out. It is currently functional, but barely; the metal lip that keeps the 3rd/4th shift fork engaged with the gears is gone across most of its length, and paper thin where it is still present, meaning soon I won't be able to shift at all.

I have searched all over the interweb trying to find the shift forks (part no.'s 2097880 and 2097882), and talked to a lot of old tractor stores but found nothing.

Does anyone have a supplier who may have them or someone who may have a 9518 or one of the matching models of the other makes that they are parting out?

As many people probably know, this tractor was made in Japan and sold in the US under several names, the most common are the Simplicity 9518, the AC 5015, the Massey Ferguson 1010, and the Hinomoto c174, I think there may have been a Yanmar model too, but I've forgotten.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
