Been busy as a one-eyed cat watching two rat holes this past week. Friday my loving bride and I went over to TSC on the far side of town, when we started home the 99 F150 ran hot so I stopped and checked under the hood and coolant was spewing from the water pump. Let it cool down and made it to a convenience store and poured in two gallons of 50/50 and made it across town and back home without any more problems. Praise the Lord! And my bride took it all in stride. Yesterday was her birthday so we took a relaxing day trip with our daughter and our black lab. Mama is happy, life is good! Tomorrow afternoon I will get to change out the water pump between a morning and an evening meeting. Thanks for letting me vent a bit but mainly praise my Lord and Savior for His goodness.

Time with family can't beat it, went with wife, daughter, her hubby and kids yesterday to Christmas in July, in West Jefferson. NC, pretty neat a couple of hundred venders set up on the street.  When finished there toured the Church of Fescoes there and at Glendale Springs.

I agree the Lord is great but sometimes it's hard to deal with the things he puts on us. We were at church this morning and Evie found out what it is to be lost. She wouldn't say anything for a long time. The preacher saw her struggle and that she wouldn't move and said "let's all have an alter prayer". She went up with her mama and I stayed back with Cora. It slowly turned into Evie's alter prayer and she prayed but just couldn't get satisfaction. It's hard to watch your baby try to sort through a broken heart. She didn't get saved today but she learned a lot and I pray it won't be long. I know she has to get lost and broken down before she can get saved but man alive it's hard to watch.

Tyler, the Lord is definitely dealing with Evie and it shouldn't be long. I agree it is tough watching one of your little ones struggle but you are bringing up your two in the right way.  My wife and I will be praying for Evie and for all of you.
