So my '37 WC will not go into reverse and I decided to go to my local tractor graveyard and buy a gearshift tower in the hopes of using some of its parts. I was able to find one but the reverse lever is seized up from sitting untouched. My question is... What do I need to be looking at to fix? and... Is there any way to "delete" the reverse lever on the side that you squeeze to go into reverse?-making it possible to go into reverse without the use of the reverse lever.

Thank you for reading and any/all assistance!

You need to remove the tower unit and look see if the rod is rusted off. I had mine all apart to rebuild it. I  milled the worn slot on the lever to clean up, set the tower in the mill and reamed the pin hole out round, then made a new pin to fit the oversized slot and hole.
Towards the bottom of this link, are some pictures of the shift linkage and forks. Springs and balls for the detents too. https://youtu.be/__rM2VGEYnM" rel="nofollow - https://youtu.be/__rM2VGEYnM

Now that you have 2 towers, rebuild one complete and it will last you for another 50 years or more.
