Hello,

Does anyone know where I can find an inexpensive early D17 seat shock?

I see the whole unit with spring on several sites but my spring is good.

Boy, what a job . Mice had eaten my seat cushion and when I took it apart the inner cushion pan was rotted away and the bushings were shot to the point they had worn into the rods and egged out many of the brackets. For the record, 1 yard of 1/2 steel rod is enough to replace the original rods along with a lot of drilling.

Regards,
ACisbest

acisbest,
Usually good and inexpensive dont go together in this sandbox. But someone may have a good used one out there.
Good luck.
Sounds like you do your own fab work and repairs. That can save you money to put towards the items you need to buy.
FWIW, I have way to much money in this old 45 I am tinkering with!Smile But its cheaper than a shrink and I dont have to leave the house, Other than trips to NAPA to get parts!
We need some pictures too!
 Regards,
 Chris
