          | Hi everybody This is a two part question.

First does anybody have a parts book for 77g or 78 rake to see if this number is in it, 531819. The numerical book says fits 77. Was woundering if it's the pto 77 or 77g,78 or are they the same. Thanks

Second does anybody have picture of the side delivery rake, looking for picture of the stripper bars. I have parts book but the picture in it doesn't show them vary good.

 Thanks

          | My rake parts book from July 1960 shows that part #531819 is only used on the #77M rake.  it is #8 on the illustration on page 10. This would be a PTO rake.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

          | I will add: My book is a May 1966 parts for 77G, 77G bean and 78 rakes. It also says that 531819 fits 77G below #3351 on page 10 but on page 12 it says it will also fit 77G #3351 and up and 78 rakes |

          | Thanks. I see now. When Steve said it doesn't show 77 pto rake. He's meaning his parts book doesn't cover that model, not saying that part isn't in it. think that takes care of question one, we got some of them bars but I'd like to get a 78 rake some day so don't want to sell any parts fitting that rake.
Now question two is there's smaller diameter bars there to, didn't see part numbers on them though but the older side delivery rake looks like there smaller diameter bars. I have book on that rake but picture isn't that good. We don't have iPhones so didn't take pictures lol, but I'll have to bring iPad down and get some.
 Thanks again

          | The basket is the same on all 77s and the 78. The old side delivery and #7 used a smaller diameter bar. I can measure one next time by it. |

          | The 77 has a straight axle an the 78 has the rear axle hug the rear of the rake basket . |

          | Chain drive or belt? Chain will be a 77. Belt requires looking at the axle. If it’s a solid shaft it’s a 77. 3 pieces with 2 u joints it’s a 78 |
