The bushings on the injection pump drive shaft are worn. I am assuming the one in the pump is shot. It didn't leak but has grooves where the umbrella washers ride. The new one I have is smooth. Could be the wrong part.  How do I replace the one in the pump? Disassemble? (not happening by me!) Still trying to locate the bushing at the front plate (74025249) need to make some calls. Need some advise... Thanks

If you are going to loctite (or use anything to bond the bushing), degrease thoroughly.  MEK or Acetone work very well.
I have used Belzona 1111 (Super Metal) to install pump bushings.

Coat the internal areas of the bushing with wax/release agent.  This will make removal of any epoxy or Loctite easy to remove from the bushing bore.  You do not want anything left in the bore which could cause the packing to fail.
