I bought a 12v LED magnetic towing light kit from Rural King to put on a wagon/hayride project I am working on. (too wet to do anything else) What would it take to get them to flash? I think I heard somewhere that they dont draw enough current for a regular flasher. Also--- My WD45 is still 6 volt. It has that kinda rare implement plug-in by the back work light. I would like to use that if possible. Can I run these on 6volts? I'm not to bright when it comes to electrical stuff..... Any help is appreciated. ------------- sometimes I walk out to my shop and look around and think "Who's the idiot that owns this place?" |

I'm not one to advise on electrical things, but does anyone have a photo of this plug-in? It's something new to me.

A set of batteries has lasted scouple years. I just turn them on before hitting the road and turn them off when done. I think they were less than 20 a pair at harbor frieght. The magnet holds them on at 65 mph |

You'd need an LED flasher, no matter the configuration. As Dave said, LEDs draw very little current. You could charge up a 12 volt car battery and put it in a battery box on the wagon and it would last for hours and hours before needing recharging. |

Usually a flasher is used for 2 LED lights. Front and rear turn signals. If your lights have more than 2 LEDs or you connect an extra set of lights, it might draw enough to work with a regular flasher. You won't be able to use a 12 volt LED setup with 6 volts, and I'm warning you now, don't ever try using a 6 volt LED setup with 12 volts. ,... Unless it's the forth of July and everyone is standing back. Overvoltage an old incandescent light and it burns out,.. not so with an LED. |

You can put a non LED light in line with the LED`s and it will give you enough draw. ------------- "Burgie" |
