I am overhauling a  G  engine, the clutch lining is oiley but not worn as I can still read the printed numbers on the linings. What is the best way to remove the oil, heat with a torch, brake cleaner , heat in my wife's oven?

Heat it up in your wife's oven? Wonder how the food would taste after doing something like that, because the smell would be in there for a while...an oily smell! LMAO! Send me your old clutch and pressure plate and I'll fix you up. 50.00 for the clutch and pressure plate and 15.00 for the throw out bearing, plus 14.35 for the USPS shipping...so...79.35. That's my price and that way the wife won't have you rubbing knots off your head!    Rick

Here I thought we was gonna get a descriptive topic about not baking oily clutch discs in the oven. The process involved and the perilous results afterwards. LOL

That's a dang good price Rick. Thumbs Up

I have a friend that had a new set of truck brakes that got oiled from a pinched seal. He used his mom's oven πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ he now has a real nice oven in the shop and mom has a brand new oven in the house
