I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I am Daniel. I have recently acquired a AC HD 5. I know nothing about this old girl other than it is the dozer version. Hopefully I will be able to get it back to working condition. My goal is to restore it.

Hello Daniel. Welcome to the forum.. Your post is in the "SHOP and BARN" section that covers a lot of odd questions.. When you have SPECIFIC questions on the dozer, put them in the "CONSTRUCTION" area and you will get PLENTY of help !!

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

Daniel, Yep, you want to go to the "Construction" part of the forum.  If you don't find the answer you're looking for there, there IS NO ANSWER!!  That's how good these guys are on here.
Enjoy yourself and learn, we all had to and hope to pass along what we know.

Thank you everyone for the Welcome. I also have other Allis machines 1 wd and 1 wd with the 45 engine in it that i am always working on for a friend. For tractors I personally own 2 Farmalls a H and a 460. The H runs and has very little needed work and the 460 is a complete ground up build. I also have a Owatanna series 1700 and a mitey mac skidloader. LOTS of projects. must have fallen in to my lap and I just cant say no... I would love to learn about the 2-71 engines. Even though I own a diesel repair company I have never even seen a 2 stroke diesel. Im only 35 so they were a little before my time. Thanks again for the welcome.

Welcome Daniel.  I'll be visiting Iowa the end of this month, DeWitt and Dubuque.  Family gathering.  Yes, we will be looking forward to pics of your projects.  Don't worry about talking about  the red ones, but we don't particular care for those green and yellow ones!
