How could you get it to shift faster? In my opinion it is not fast enough for tractor pulling. Ive seen what happened to mikeys 7040 happen before were they don't shift at all but even in normal conditions there way slow.Is there away to increase flow maybe oversize an orffice or will increasing pressure do it? I assume they were slow for comfort in the field.

I HAVE SEEN GUYS PUT A SHIFT LEVER INSTEAD OF THE BUTTONS. ALSO TAPER THE SHIFTING SPOOL.

So it sounds like it is from low flow through floor valve (pilot valve). A person should even be able to use a solinoid activated valve then. I wouldn't be against tapering valve if I had hyd. print so I knew what I was doing.

A friend of mine used a windshield wiper motor. Flips the switch to shift up or down. Works good, no delay. Been pulling with it like that for a couple of years. Its on a 7045.

My 7060 shifts fast and is really solid when it shifts. The clutch also grabs real quick. In lower gears you have to watch it, because the front end will come off the ground a foot if you let out on the clutch anything more than easy. Pulling something the front end will come up when shifting in any gear in low range. Its just been that way since I went through the power director so maybe you need some work done in there.
