I have a snow blower on my D15 and am tired of snow blowing everywhere and getting me cold and wet. What are some of you doing to stay dry and warm? ------------- A(1937), 2 G, 2 WD45 diesels, 6 WD45 gas, UC, 2 WD, D17 gas, WF, Farmall 400, D12, Kubota B3030 |

This is what I use here in Michigan. It's only 4' but that just gives me more seat time! Heated from engine heat. Very cozy! Hey! It's orange!!  ------------- D14, D17, 5020, 612H, CASE 446 |

After several years of open tractor in the winter, I broke down and bought a Kubota with a cab on it. Just don't seem to tolerate -20 with a stiff wind the way I used to. I have the D15 S2 and a snap coupler blade which I can use, but that heated cab is too tempting. ------------- |

This is our 15 with cab It was warmer when the sides weren't ripped open and if we put side curtains on engine. |

When I used the snow thrower on my 917 garden tractor. I wore a full face grinding sheald to keep the snow out of my face. I know not a warm cab but with a lot of warn close and that grinding sheald it worked well. ------------- 917 H, '48 G, '65 D-10 series III "Allis Express" |

| If I remember right my neighbor traded that D15 in on a new 170 at my grandfathers dealership. The cab may have been used on our 17 prior to that. The plow an plow frame is allis chalmers industrial. Gramp sold that stuff back then. But anyways that's been plowing snow sense then. And me an dad were just talking the other night how back then gramp plowed a lot of driveways all around down and the people were glad to have it done. And now people call right away that your not there yet and just complain. |
