Last fall a friend and I traded our B & C straight across except he wanted to keep the narrow front end and I wanted to keep the wide front end off our tractors. I did the swaps. Anyone ever see a B with a C front end?

I had my B like that for a while. Hard to steer with the short throw arm. I would need to change the steering box to a C type to have better steering.

I pretty much gave up on Pulling my B. Most of the sleds around here are too heavy or no light classes are given.

I’ll try and post a picture tomorrow from the side. Makes the B look even shorter. I swapped the steering gearbox & all over with these front end swaps. The C isn’t finished. Decided to do a piston/sleeve rebuild on the engine first.

Around here (Kansas) it looks like 2009 was the last year for antique tractor pulls in the 2500lb weight class. I upgraded to the C thinking about getting into pulling. Pulling a spring tooth I need the wider rear end and the B front end will add additional stability to cope with the uneven ground I’ll be working.

I may be a bit too nosey but why would anyone find a need to put a C narrow front on a B beside asking if anyone else has done it already?.   A B with a wide front makes a great one row cultivating machine. Why ruin it for cultivating and side dressing a patch of Silver Queen Sweet Corn?
Looks like a rollover waiting to happen.

Well, to each his own I always say. Why do they make a low rider B? Why do some guys shove a V8 in a B or WC? Why do some guys shove a C front end under a B? Cause' its different and it looks cool to all of the above!........  That's why!!    LOL!!   Thumbs Up

Virginia used to have a lot of pulls with 1500 & 2000 pound classes about 20 years ago. I suppose that I grabbed too many of those $.50 plastic trophies with the G & B that I had set up to run those classes. The local guys got must have gotten mad and discontinued the lighter weight classes. For the 2500 pound the CA is the ideal tractor.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

I believe around here it’s a truck thing. 2 & 4 wheel drive. Everyone’s truck is a possible candidate to will the pulling contest. Jest jump in & put ‘er to th floor and a hero is made.

My phone pictures are too big to upload. Surely there’s an app to resize.
