Hi, I am a Retired Heavy Equipment Operating Engineer Local 3, are there any others on board? local 3 or local 12 or ????

Welcome to the forum blackout. You will like it here. We live and breathe Persian Orange here but all have a passion for heavy equipment and old and resurrected iron.

I was IUOE 148 Stationary, we had boys and gals from Local 513 I dealt with on occasion.

My dad was 381 or 382 local out of little rock ar . Also 4 of his brothers . The last job he was on was greers ferry dam in 1963 .after the layoff he bought a brand new allis 6g loader and worked for hiself til 87

I have worked on roads, highways, freeways, canals, reservoirs, damns, large pipeline projects, etc. But here is a video of a hydro-electric job I worked at for 5 years and was the most challenging of my career. I was a 
Drill Doctor who overhauled and maintained the big drills that were used to tunnel thru solid granite mountain.

Yes it is still going and the electricity provided supplies a huge amount of power to a lot of cities. It was built in the late 70's to mid 80's, about 11 guys died on the project. Thumbs Down
