Thoughts on a 8010 powershift with 4500 hrs on it 2wd under $10000. Are the 8010s a solid tractor? Whats a good loader to put on one? Preferably a allis loader. Also how big of a deal is it to put on a joystick? It only has 2 remotes. Thanks in advance ------------- 185 turbocharged w/ 500 loader , WD |

Have 2 of them one fwa, one two wheel both power shift lots of hours very reliable, easy on fuel. Both set at 115 hp. If you need more hp buy a larger tractor. Sounds like a good deal, not a very good loader tractor. |

I also have 2 of them-FWA has well over 6000 hours without any problems (has the 16 speed tranny.) The motor in the 2 wheel drive was overhauled before I bought it and I don't remember what the hour meter reads but they are both good dependable tractors IMHO. The power shift in the 2 wheeler is decent but don't know if I would care to put a loader on either one of them. Never thought the 8010 was a pooch-used to pull 4-18 plow, 20 foot disc, and 22 foot field cult., in heavy black ground-now have bigger horse for that! ------------- WD,D15,190XT,7000,8010x2,7060,8070 |

| That’s a good price if it’s in any shape. I have an 8010 and I love it. I pull a kinze 8-15 with it, 15’ batwing and the baler. Couldn’t ask for a better more comfortable tractor for those jobs. Also have an 8050 and 8070 for primary tillage. |

It is clean and interior is nice. It is cold blooded though. It will mainly be used on the baler. Just curious about a loader for it? Any suggestions on that ? ------------- 185 turbocharged w/ 500 loader , WD |

We bought a power shift 2wd 8010 last spring. We hooked it up to the 750 gallon Hardi sprayer and haven't unhooked since. Much faster road gear than the 200 for getting from farm to farm. We wouldn't be without it now. It's not real difficult to add a 3rd remote, I added one to our 8050. | Have a 8010 with 20 speed pd tranny. Love it. 7800 hours on original motor. Im second owner and bale hay with it. Love cabs. I always say there like having a 2 ton truck with a small block motor. They get job done. I have a great bend loader on mine also |

Not sure why anyone would say an 8010 is a pooch, it's essentially the same tractor as a 7010! Compared to a 7000, the 8010 + 7010 are heavy tanks. They're good on dry or frozen ground but don't take them onto a soft wet spot or you'll sink out of site! Add a loader with a round bale and a set of 250 lb weights on the rears and you'll want to put bigger tires on the front. It will dig itself a hole. And guess what a cattle pen looks like when it rains? Been there done that...as long as you have a backup tractor for the wet/slippery conditions you can make it work. Can you afford/tolerate having two loader tractors? |

| The talk about an 8010 being a dog probably came from someone that had one with an AMBAC 100 pump, the small cubic inch 301 with the sloppy governor of a 100 pump makes for a gutless feel to it. Earlier 8010s had DM4 Roosa Master pump and ran well just like 7010. |

| Lot of tractor for the money. We use an 8010 FWD to pull a 12 row planter or a NH big round baler, or to pull a Hardi sprayer. It does those jobs very well and is easy on fuel. Not quite as easy on fuel as a 6080, but the 8010 weighs twice as much. |

I don’t think you would be disappointed. Easy on fuel. Mine starts well. I have mine with an intercooler set at 128 hp. It’s a toss up if it’s any better or worse than my 8030 8050 or 8070.
