i bought a c that was tore down. it came with a different block,he said the old one was cracked.i bought a rebuild kit and had the machine shop install the sleeves. i put it all together an it started right up i ran it for about 10 min then shut it off ... went back checked the oil and it was all milky. the machinist said the block where the orings seat were pitted. but he put them in anyway.i think it may have rolled a oring when they were put in.. where can i get a set of new orings..or a running engine for my c?? thanks in advance JB

First thing, check the core(freeze) plugs in the top of the head. If they weren't changed I would do that. If you still have a problem drop the pan and pressurize the water system to about 10 psi and look for leaks around the bottom of the sleeves. O-rings can be replaced but there are different sizes depending on the sleeves that were put in.

Good advice Charlie. We always looked for freeze plugs even in the 40's.
