Allis did make a 2 row sweet corn picker, that mounted to the W series. Not sure if this is it or not. Just reminded me of it....

I would call it a sweet 2 row corn picker. I have never seen a sweetcorn picker. I can't imagine how they can work without mashing it all up.

If I recall correctly Allis Chalmers did make a sweet corn picker.  It was the W series picker with some additions.  The one I remember was like a reel above where the corn entered the rollers.  Also there was some other items.
We never sold one so I have no real knowledge of them.
Good Luck!

ps:  from what I see the one pictured is not a sweet corn picker

What you are looking at is a model 33 corn picker

I'm thinking now this picker is not a sweet corn picker. CH Wendels book has a picture of a real one...

Oh well...it could be a grill screen and shroud on the front end from either an All crop with aux. Motor or even from an SP100...

Good looking picker Brad.... I have a twin sister to it. Haven't run it in 2 years and now about 6 years since I picked corn with the model 33.

Have a model 35 picker also.

The only 2 row corn pickers I watched pick sweet corn on our farm was my Daddy,  Uncle Jacob and Grandpa Steffen. Their last name was Aggen not Allis. I was the kid who manned the 50# burlap tater sacks  the corn went in after it was picked.  Somebody bigger than me carried the full sacks holding 5 dozen ears out of the field.

Folks,
Just looking at Norm Swinfords Farm Equipment book. There is a picture of a sweet corn picker. It had extra features to cut off the top of the stalks. Also said most were converted back to regular corn pickers. Not sure what the tall air intakes were for? Looks like something in a very dusty environment. Anyway I think Don(MI) needs to buy this! Looks to be in good shape. Missing front shroud at least??
Regards,
 Chris
