cool,, just wondering, how much earlier to have to windrow the oats before combining? we alway's combined the oats directly. nobody that I can remember did the windrow thing in our area.

I tried to follow the science, but it was not there. I then followed the money, and that’s where I found the science.

They were down for over a week due to rain but that is the usual time if there are weeds. Yes there were weeds just not in that part of the field. Wasn't sprayed. This year I will use the E. No weeds this year on 26 acres. They were sprayed but went down 4 times in storms and were tough to swath. Had to go in one direction but at least I was able to get it all. Will harvest maybe this weekend if the rain holds off. Lots of green shoots came up from the roots just as they ripened so had to let it set for a week to dry. First time I or Dad ever had that happen.

You know, an All Crop sings to you when doing oats. It's a nice sound.
