Hey everyone, Dad and I are in the process of splitting our WD45 to fix some leaks. we have already split the tractor between the torque tube and the gear shift. Now we need to replace the little brass/bronze piece in the torque tube on the hand clutch assembly. We have noticed that the next seal forward (between the engine clutch and the torque tube) is probably leaking. I believe we are going to try to not have to pull the frame rail off and pull the torque tube off. Looking at a parts breakdown, it looks like the gear for the flywheel thing coming out of the side of the frame rail (where you could run a bakers fan) wouldn't be able to come out if we slide the torque tube off. I guess my question is, are we able to pull the torque tube off? ------------- B212, WD45, B, 912 Hydro |

Make sure to put something under it to catch the oil that will come out of the hole when you remove the pulley assembly. If you don't use the belt pulley, there is a plug available to close off the hole to delete the pulley.

Thank you for pulling the words out of my mouth lol i couldn't say what i was thinking. :) we have a cover on it now. so can we separate the torque tube from the engine clutch assembly. I'm unsure because it looks like there is a gear that runs the pulley, coming off of the shaft that runs from the engine to transmission. ------------- B212, WD45, B, 912 Hydro |

| I had mine apart a few years ago. I don't remember 100%, but there are some flat spots machined into the frame rails that allow the square spots of opf the torque tube bolt flat up to the curved of the frame rail (channel iron). I think I tried something like what you're saying and it would slide all the way out. Again I can't remember for sure, I think one way it would work and one way not. I also could be thinking that I couldn't slide the engine all the way through the rails... |

If item 2 has been removed and everything else in this breakdown was pulled out as a unit, you should be set. The drive gear, for the belt pulley shaft's driven gear, is on the clutch shaft inside the engine clutch housing and will stay in that housing when you pull the housing back. I don't know what you are looking at for a parts breakdown but the ones at AGCO Parts Books show all the parts, names, and part numbers, including the cover used if the pulley unit was removed. http://www.agcopartsbooks.com/PartsBooksN/login.aspx?region=NorthAmerica
