Ok guys,I'm looking at swapping motors in my 210 with an irrigation motor. My original motor had a freeze crack in it and has been worked on but still leaks enough to peel the paint off the side on the motor and i'm just done with it.I have found another engine to put in it and know there will be some things to change from one motor to the other but thought I would pick my fellow Allis owners brains for any information about this project.
Thanks, Kevin.

All depends on what the irrigation is and how it is set up as far as front and rear plate. Need to know more on doner engine. MACK

As MACK said the number changes needed varies with the build and how original looking you wish it to be. Older 426 engines had cam driven oil pumps I believe that all 210s has crank driven pumps? oil pan is different in appearance and I dont know if switching from one type of oiling to the other is even possible? Switching the front cover is quite involved due to how the camshaft thrust plate is retained, some just built custom mounts to avoid having to change it but when we put a gen set engine in our 220 we did it without pulling the camshaft because we have the ability to machine a custom puller and pusher to remove and replace the gear.

The irrigation motor is an MK II 3700.I know there are things that will have to be swapped from engine to the other.I know that getting the hydraulic pump switched is somewhat of a chore too. Also know about changing the rear plate,Will have to something with the lower radiator hose as they are on opposite sides as well.Is the 3700 motor a pretty good motor as far realiability and durability.I think i'm going to pretty much make the ole girl a parade tractor,so not to concerned about looking original and have seen as most of you probably have to a couple of 210's and 20's with the bigger cooler on them and look pretty good I think.
