The old West Bound and Down is down for good. Died earlier today at 82. Not many more like him out there.

Just recently seen an old Johnny Carson show where he and Dom DeLouise were both on and Carson could hardly manage them . At his peak in popularity (judging how the audience reacted when he came out) so guessingmid to late 70's. Swarmy, cock-sure and had that unique laugh that let everyone know he was having a blast.
He always seemed to be in control during any interviews and having a blast playing the Hollywood game.
He sure helped GM sell some T/A's!
