 LANTZ Bulldog,,,??  I been watchin some youtube videos on tractors etc and run across some Dudes, maybe in Germany or somewhere over the pond,,, It looks like they are a royal pain in the toolie-wak cause they didn't have starters on em and gots a big old flywheel they spin by hand,,,,,whew,,,,, They also place a oil burner under the front of the engine to build pressure,,??
 and when whey do get em runnin,,,,sounds just like ole Shameless' favorite,,, the 730 JD ClapClap Lots of weird lookin tractors back in the day,,,but whatever it takes,,,,,LOL

Some of them use a shotgun shell, I assume a blank, to start the engine.  Seems like anything to keep from using an electrical system...

Field Marshall used the shotgun blank. It was English so you can't blame them for avoiding electrics with Lucas as their only real choice.

wrap a rope around that big ole flywheel and hook the other end to a Chevy, and take off spinning that wheel. don't try that ferd, it'll never pull it!

 Hey Good Buddy actually,,the video I was watchin,,,that Lanz Bulldog engine WAS in what looked like a 9N,,,,,,WinkWinkI'll tell you what,,they messed with that thing for the longest gettin it to start,,,,whew,,!!  If I had to work as hard as that,,I'd get something else,,,dang,,,,,All them dudes tryin to start it looked like big hefty farm men,,wasn't any puny lookin city folk for sure,,,,,,LOL

  OH,,,and by the way,,Shameless,,,,,I'm down to ONE ford round here,,,Ya see,,,I sold off the little Ranger for a nice profit, the dude wanted it so bad,,fact is,,I prolly coulda got another three-four hunnert but you know thet little guy that rides along on your shoulder all the time,??,,,,,,,,,,he kept pokin me in the ear so I let it go for a nice profit. Now,,,the Bronco II,,,it was a one owner LOW milage vehicle that anybody would have liked in their   carport,,,it was that nice,,,and,,,,and,,,if you had of showed just a little more interest in it,,,I might of thought of a straight across deal plus maybe 700-800 boot

I watch a couple old guys in England start on at a show they musta knew what they were doing. They heated it up with an old brass pump up blow torch. Pulled the steering wheel off and stuck the shaft into it and used that to turn it over they backed it up against compression pulled the wheel over and it started right up. It sat there and chunked and shook like it was go a jump off the ground.
