I took my  "new" d-17 on the road yesterday and noticed a lot of play in the steering. you can turn it a lot before it reacts.  where do you suggest checking first.  there is a little play where the steering rod meets the tie rods.

Sector shaft bearings in the box or steering arm splines are worn where it goesonto the sector shaft. also check tie rod ends
