I'm thinking about building a pulling tractor to pull as a stock or mild built tractor.. Trying to decide what tractor to use..
I have a wc that would take the least amount of work to be ready or a wd or d17 that needs everything.. But i also have some olivers and 2 cyl deeres i could use also, i prefer to stick with allis as those are what i like best.
So what would be the best to use and what would i need to do to make it competitive?

Start with your rules and they will point you to the tractor with out the rules it's a guess at best

You can wash the dirt off the body but you can’t wash the farmer out of the heart and soul

You could drive up to Casey IL. next pull (aug 5th I think) Several good AC pullers there. You can check out their rides and get some good input. Like bradley said, need to know the rules first.

Build the WC. For stock or mildly modified type classes this is my favorite model pulling tractor. Many times I've out pulled WD/WD45s with my WCs.

Good Luck!

I pull a WC in farm stock class with the club I belong to. As far as I know mine is factory stock or maybe over size pistons?  I  have out pulled WD45's and WC's with a D17  motor and  38" tires several times.
