I have been adding shelves to my toy room, still need to paint them. I have been collecting toys since 1986 when i went to my first Farm Toy Show. I'm sure I must be a little off being almost 39 and still buying toys but I have a very understanding wife and sitting in a tavern has never been my thing. Thanks for looking.

Drool, drool....I love the train track running on the upper wall around the outside of the room...would love to do that myself in a room someday. I only have a AC few tractorsin my toy collection but I have a bunch of HO scale trains and a very basic 4X8 layout in the basement. I think Kip is the model railroading "god" here. Hopefully he pots as well. Mike

I have a 7080 that I started to customize years ago, I have some good ideas for it but truthfully Ertl did such a lousy job on that toy it's just not one of my favorites.

Here is my 7080. I added lots of parts, reshaped the front windows and made my own handrail. I added John Deere steps, they looked more like the real thing. Everything needed lots of filling and sanding, I had plans of giving the grille some dimension instead of just a decal, also more like the real thing. With the Ertl Precisions coming along like they have customizing toys is pretty much over. you can buy a precision toy way cheaper and they have better detail than I can do.

Very nice! I'm afraid I don't have that much space to play with. I do have the same WD-45 poster (metal sign) that you have on the wall. I could just barely make it out. I also have one for an unstyled WC that is pretty nice.

Two questions
1 Do you have any American Flyer trains?
2 Can I come over to your house and play? That is if it is OK with our moms. You can come to my house and we can set up the Hot Wheels track.
It is good to see that I am not the only kid who never grew up. I started buying dropdeck AF train cars to pull around AC8070's and a Gleaner or two. Maybe someday this winter I will get my trains running overhead in my office as well. I need a larger case for my 1/64th hauling sets. The plan is to use a radiator top and buttom from a UC and make the sides and door in oak. I love what you have done. I thank you so much for sharring the fruits of your labor.

My Uncle gave me his old American Flyer when I was a kid. It was the Blue Royal, it's still in my dad's basement, I had Lionel (not much as it cost a fortune) and HO as a kid.
How much American Flyer do you have?

I have a Silver Bullet link coupler and 3 others with the later style coupler. One of them is a 4-8-4. The SB was a new to me Christmas persent when I was 5. I am 45 now. The underside of the engine is printed Nov 1953. My wife hates Ebay, but i like it. And like you, I don't sit on bar stools either.

I am with Unit3.I want to come over and play too. SWEET is all I have to say.My Older cousins had a wicked Lionel train set when I was a kid. They wouldn't let me any where near it.Loading & unloading, coal, logs.rocks, cattle cars.I could only sit at a distance and watch.
Great collection and beautiful setup.

Wow, neat room!!! I am into AC models, but some folks just started a model train club here in Leisure World so I joined to be involved in the construction part. I have built four O scale bridges so far. Did you build the bridge in your display?? Once we get a permanent room for the club, plans are to put a G scale on the wall similar to your setup.

Armand I have always admired your custom builds! I had a guy custom build the bridge for me to the dimensions I gave him. It was really meant to be turned over with the train running through it but when I mounted it on the shelve board and ran a train through it it looked too small, so I turned it over and changed the decking on it.
These trains in this pic are G Gauge, I went kind of crazy one year. I looked into running them on my shelves but my locomotives require an eight foot turning radius and I would have to be out into the room pretty far in the corners, I have six foot turns with my O Gauge.
Those are 1/32 Precision Deere 9420Ts on the flat car.

Nice catch Floyd, I saw it too. I think I will stand with my same "bridge" of 16 years instead of one of those mail order bridges. Mine has seen me safely over many a troubled water. Gotta love type O's.
