Gotta get up in the AM and take him to the airport. He's headed, for the second time, to Afganastan. He Can't tell us where yet. His middle son is headed for Boundary Waters with his Scout Troop in the morning too. Guess it'll be a long day starting in about 7 hours. Hoping a few of you guys and gals will keep them in prayers. For sure, I'm not gonna make it to Hutch again this year. I will be working at the Good Guys Car show at the State Fairgrounds in Des Moines on June 29th. Will be under the grandstand and will buy coffee if anyone is interested. Must tell you guys, don't come for the coffee it isn't the greatest but if its a warm day the cars and young gals will be great.

Gotta put up your Blue Star flag to let everyone know what you are giving!  We had one with 3 blue stars when I was a youngster.  We sure didn't want any of them to turn GOLD!

Hey Tom, thinkin and prayin for you, your Son and Family from a fellow armed forces parent. I know what you are feeling long bout now and those thoughts can be very trying on the nerves. All we can do is support THEIR decision to serve and pray for the best.
I know this will prolly land me in the outhouse,,but,, I get SOOooooo dang upset with all these dang people that always want to protest just about anything these days, never giving a thought that it was our young Sons, Daughters and family members that gave their ALL so all Americans could have the FREEDOMS we now have. So much for showing their respect,,,,
OK,,I'm done,, before I get run outa town,,,,,,
OH,,,I was gonna ask,,What is the Blue Flag,,??

Blue star  also know as the mothers service flag.  one star blue star on a field of white on the flag for each son sent off to war. A gold star was for a son that died at war. was authorized for display by the DOD starting in WW1.

Hey Tom,,yea, I would like to know bout thet flag too. Our 2nd oldest was in the fiirst Desert Storm, then was deployed to South Korea for two 1 year stints. If he qualifies for it, I would very much like to fly the Blue Star flag alongside my Stars And Stripes,,,,,Clap
