A lot of interuptions through the years on this project. This one will have the electric option. All gone through from one end to the other.

Thumbs Upm If the WF takes 12 years, I might be too old to make it out there to test drive it for ya Wink I spent 10 years on my WC, then had to hire some assembly and still don't have fenders on it yet . Life seems to get in the way !

Beautiful!!!

Those older Allis tractors I have always loved, probably will never buy 1 (well maybe years from now). They sure are neat just to be around them.

that's awesome work. always wondered... whats the difference between a standard E and a threshermans special?

I think I heard somewhere if the owner used a 25-40 for drawbar work, the warranty was voided, as the engine had more power than the transmission/rear end could take. Anyone know if there is truth to that? Sounds a little fishy to me, as those tractors look very stout.

I think this tractor may have been used for pulling a road grader possibly. It originally had road wheels on the back, which was a heavier steel band and six inch wider hub and band. Regretfully a previous owner cut the spokes and welded on wheels for rubber tires. I still have them, so thinking about having Detweilers re spoke and rerim them. All i need is another pair to get measurements off of.

Thank you for posting this picture. An old friend of mine bought a new one and thrashed with it for years. I have sat across the restruarnt table from him and listened to his stories. He is long gone, I wish my grandsons would have been there to listen. Again thanks for posting a SWEET picture.

Very nice! A friend of mine (Allen Beall) had a 34 Threshermans Special like that. 30 years ago I drove it at the Indiana State Fair in the Farmers Day Parade. It flat wore me out!!And I was only 33. It has always amazed me how much tougher those men were in those days when that iron was new. Thanks for the memories! Nice one!

Jay, after working at walking behind the horses and holding the plow handles from sunup to sum down, riding that tractor was probably like almost resting... other than hitting rocks with the front wheels and going over them with the spike ends of steel... Wink

Beautiful! I need to freshen up mine. Here was mine about 4 years ago. I cranked it and got it started last night as a matter of fact! Luckily at 37 years of age I can still crank over 563 ci without too much trouble. Mine has the rim extensions which make it really wide. The nickname mine has is "Barky the Butt Shaker"

I was at a show many years ago where they had an Allis E 30-60 Threshermans Special. Is that the same tractor as yours but with the correct horse power in the model name? Or was it a displacement again over the 25-40?

James that is a old picture .LOL . The wheels on Longfender are rolled steel with heavy cast center witch is correct for up to 1927 ,after that the pressed steel wheel on 20 -35 short fender and 25-40 was used and often added a road band ( also pressed steel )witch made them 18 wide .
