the view from inside a B29: Took this inside 'Doc' yesterday at WW2 weekend in Reading. Doc is now the 2nd B29 that flies. It was flown in from its home in Wichita for the show. The show was also attended by 'Fifi', the other B29 that is in flying condition. ------------- If ignorance is bliss, than happy days are here again. |

Takes a LOT of work and $$$ to get one of those old birds flying and to keep it flying. The shine on the skin of that one took more that just a couple of hours of polishing. ------------- Just an old country boy saved by the grace of God. |

I know one of the 'Rosie riveter' gals that worked on Doc...she was a member of my church just north of Wichita...yes it did take years to get to flying mode ------------- Holding a grudge is like taking poison and expecting the other person to die |

NICE ! Only two flying B29s, same the the Lancasters. One's here in Hamilton,other in Britain. I was going to volunteer my hands as an Avionics tech/pilot but the 'politics' of the group DISGUSTED me decades ago, never went back.Ironically I found a pictur epop took of me in the pilot's seat of another Lancaster 50 years ago !
