So you think a 200 would be able to handle a 24 ft field cultivator. I'm.just curious because I have located one with a really good price don't want to over do the tractor. Thanks

A lot depends on tractor conditions, soil types. I say not in my area.

What would be the best size for a 200 to handle properly.

On another forum agtalk theres a guy that posted a pic of a 7020 pulling a 26ft. Same engine. He could not pull a harrow behind the cultivator though that was roo much.

Need duals of course.

If I had a 200 with 80% or better 18.4 x 38's with matching duals AND full fluid on the inside.........I'd pull it. Maybe in 4th gear, but I'd pull it because I wouldn't sink it in the ground like a chisel plow. Now, if you've got bald 18.4 x 34's....good luck.

We used to pull an 18' 1300 AC field cultivator with a drag harrow behind it with dual 38's on either 200 or XT190. They matched up pretty good.

What type / how wide of sweeps?

I pull a heavy frame 23' cultivator with a 7045, at times you hardly feel it, in hills or in clay you can spin out the tractor if you're too deep, but I have 7 inch sweeps.

To my liking  cultivator needs to be pulled with some speed to make a nice level finish.  I had a 24' AC cultivator for many years.  I would not waste my time using my 200 to pull it in my sand ground.  A 210 it was a good match for.

I'd think it would like an 18 or 21 foot a whole lot better. I pulled a 21' and 24' barrow cart with 7060 with no problems but it was enough
