I went to start the C with the Woods under it. No Spark. I had rebuilt the magneto last summer. Checking it out with the meter I said AH shorted out condenser. Found a new condenser in the shed and started to change it. When I loosened the screw where it attaches to the points and coil I see the condenser had a big forked terminal and it looked it was close to the base. I slid it out and decided to check it before I remover the condenser. It checked good. I turned it over and after tightening it I bent the long end of the terminal up and put the cover back on. It then started like I had turned on the switch on an electric motor.
The screw was tight and the fork was against a strip of tape that it must have wore through. Dang little details missed that pop up afterwards.

BTDT, I usually snip the ends back a little, they often short out, that way...
