Does anyone know what the ratio between the front and rear axles was on the 6060, 6070, 6080 FWA?
I'm looking at getting new tires and just want to match the front/rears correctly to minimize drive train wear. The manual just gives approved combinations, but I'm wondering what the actual ratio is so I can consider tires of different sizes/styles... This is rather necessary knowledge if you want to put radial tires on which have different sizing than bias tires, correct?

Or am I over-thinking this...?

Has anyone used Alliance tires on the fronts and how did you like them?

Thank you,
Peter

Yes you might be over thinking it a bit. google "petes tire store", search your desired tire sizes and under description find "mounted tire dia". write down all the sizes front and rear for all the bias brands you can find and average them out. do the same for the radials and compare to the Allis original numbers/size.
I remember the Allis engineer that posted on here often, said they found that the FWDs worked best with +5-7% front bias. do the math with above #s and get it as close as you can. i would say anything from 0-10% would be fine. always use 2wd on roads or hard surfaces.

Just get the diameter of the approved tires front and back and ratio it up or down for larger or smaller tires.
