I've got an 06 Silverado that doesn't want to shift into passing gear. It up shifts through the gears just find but when I try to go to passing gear it vibrates and doesn't want to shift. If I mash the pedal down further it will shift. I had the trans serviced thinking maybe a clogged filter but no help there. I was told by the mechanic it might be the throttle position sensor but he says the scanner should it to be good. Start and upshift is fine. Haven't tried manual shifting. The problem doesn't start until things get warmed up. Make sure they serviced the trans with the right kind of fluid, that should take the synthetic global fluid, assuming it was fine before the service. |

It was acting up before. I read that it could be caused by a slight misfire that's not enough of a misfire to turn the light on.
