I bought a 1705 with loader last fall and it has been really great.
A barn that we had to hand clean would take us 2 days of hard forking every fall and spring .The little Massey got most of it out in 2 hours with tire chains on the back.
The driveline(I was told) is the same as Kubota. Don't have any proof but they do look very similar. The price was similar as well.
The reason I went with the Massey over Kubota was all dealership. The AGCO dealers and our family go back 3 generations.
A backhoe would have been a great addition at times but not really needed enough to justify the cost.
At 200 hours and a bit of rough use I am well satisfied.
Whatever you decide make sure that the rear is weighted well when using the loader to it's maximum lift capacity. The backhoe probably changes that.
