Has anyone seen a B or C with an original aftermarket pan seat that is adjustable?
The B my uncle has is not restored and is only the second owner the pan seat looks to be original but it is adjustable and mounts to the right side of the seat frame. It has no coil but a shock absorber. Never seen anything like it but it looks and is so cool.
I'll get a photo of it and post it.

That apears to be a farmall seat cobbled to fit. The parallel links should run front to back. That must be a real trip to drive that way. It'll shift left to right as it goes up and down. Dad put a seat just like that on th WC made a bracket to bolt it in the correct orientation though. My Dad was heavier than the WC seat was designed for so he got one off a farmall.

I had one like that on a Farmall H.
If mine was correct:
Your pan seat is mounted 90 degrees clockwise on the spring base...and the seat mount is then turned 90 degrees back to the left. That's probably why it tilts to the right a little bit....IMHO

It is tilted because it isn't bolted down to the frame. Well now that I know it is not original or a Farmall I will have to find a Monroe seat for it. I do really live this adjustable seat but it's not originall.

I have one like that out in my scrap pile but it didn't come off an Allis Chalmers. I might been in a pallet of parts I bought at an auction.

Search Knoelder seat. That was a fairly common aftermarket seat on farmall tractors. At least up here it I saw many of them. http://www.yesterdaystractors.com/cgi-bin/viewit.cgi?bd=farmall&th=782543" rel="nofollow - http://www.yesterdaystractors.com/cgi-bin/viewit.cgi?bd=farmall&th=782543

Ok so apparently Knoedler Mfg. Seats shown above were also made or altered for selling to dealers on a B or C.

I used to have one of those on the shelf I picked up at a salvage yard off a C. Might still be on the shelf, not sure?

I also think it's a knoedler seat. I have one for a Ford and the design is similar.

That is the seat my dad had put on our 52 B when he bought it from the A-C dealer. It is the knoedler seat. Still on the tractor today. Leon
