i am new to the wd45 and am just getting familiar with it...i am more familiar with the wc..so the 45 has lots of new things for me to tinker with and figure out.  I got to looking at the tractor the other day and noticed my traction booster gauge looks different than most i see...they usually say traction booster at the top and the dash marks underneath the lettering making a peak in the middle...mine says traction booster at the bottom and has the heavy dash mark on the left and moves right to progressively smaller dash marks....why the difference?

also i don;t have any implements for it yet but i am wondering how the system is setup and works?  i am getting a 3-14 plow for it pretty soon and would like to know how to set it up when i get it

also i ran the lift arms up and when they reached the top the guage deflected all the way to the opposite side..does this mean i got lucky and got a working gauge?

If the gauge moves from the resting side to the other side I'd say your gauge is a working one. As for the different markings maybe it's a replacement or one for a different model tractor. D-14 D-15 or D-17 maybe. Congrats on your tractor  you'll learn to depend on it more than you know. Later

The ones that says TRACTION BOOSTER on the bottom I believe were the first ones made.  From working on these for about two years I can see that this style of gauge seemed to seal moisture out better that the other styles of these gauges.  Alot of the early style are in good shape out there working yet.  I don't know why the difference, I suppose they wanted to get the name "ALLIS-CHALMERS" on the gauge.  If your gauge moves freely from left to right then yes it works as good as it can.

glad to hear it on the gauge...so many more toys than the wc!  i see the decal on the side of the battery box has 3 different hyd configurations...do you just adjust it for what it says on the traction section and thats all there is to it?  set the plow in the ground and it senses automatically?
