Ill start off by saying I'm not a Deere fan. But on RFD they were showing how John Deere is putting much effort into preserving there history by making a hug collection of anything paper related into an archive and then wear housing all types of equipment that's special in some way. Leaving some original and restoring what needs it. Just thought that was interesting

Deere is big into preserving their heritage. So is CNH, to a lesser extant. Then there's agco, deny, deny, deny.

I also saw most of that show. Whether you like the green or not there aren't many corporation willing to devote the time and $ to preserve their heritage to that extent. I believe he said they have 6 full time people devoted to the archives and have alternate sites including one in Mannheim, Germany. There's a guy who loves his job!

That sounds very interesting. Is it being re-aired. Did a quick search and could not find anything, do you recall the title?

Too bad that I live in a urban area and do not get the RFD Channel anymore. Cannot tell you how much I miss it. In fact, my son bought a John Deere 1025R for his property. Looks like a nice unit about the size of my B but, the accessories and implements. Hate to say it but Deere is the ONE nowadays. Times do change. Good Luck! Bill Long
